Blueprinting
Blueprinting, a term often heard in the collision repair industry, is a standard operating procedure (SOP) at Royal Auto Body that allows for the discovery of all the damages before repairs begin. Blueprinting is a crucial part of the repair process that allows Royal Auto Body’s repair facility to thoroughly assess the damages and determine what is related to the initial impact and what is prior unrelated damages (PUD).
A thorough inspection of the vehicle is mandatory before any repairs begin. An I-Car Platinum Pro level-3 certified, and trained technician will assess and evaluate the damages and create a complete damage report. The damage report will highlight all related damages to the initial impact of your vehicle, generating a proper written estimate for submission.
Tear Down
Following the blueprinting process, the next step is a complete teardown of the initial impacted area on the vehicle to reveal hidden damages caused by the collision that may have been missed during the estimating process. A thorough teardown ensures all significant hidden damages are identified and repaired in order to avoid substantial panel fitment issues in the reassembly stage of the repair. Our team of trained and certified technicians at Royal Auto Body go above and beyond during the teardown process to ensure that there are not any hidden damages left unseen for our estimating team and insurance adjusters.
STRUCTURAL & BODY REPAIR:
Every vehicle that is repaired by Royal Auto Body gets a mandatory structural and frame inspection performed by a certified technician on a Car-O-Liner laser measuring frame machine. Safety and quality are our number one priority at Royal Auto Body, and this extra step we take ensures that your vehicle is structurally sound after being involved in a collision. Refinish
The refinish stage is the most intricate and challenging step in the collision repair process. PPG is a global supplier of paints, coatings, and specialty materials. They are and industry-leading company, producing the highest quality paints for the automotive industry. Along with using the highest quality equipment and materials for all repairs. Our refinish technicians are I-Car Platinum Pro level-3 and PPG Master certified, with over 75 years of combined automotive refinish experience.
Reassembly
After a vehicle has been electronically measured and aligned to factory dimensions and professionally refinished and color-matched to perfection, it is time for the reassembly phase in the repair plan. Reassembly of a vehicle is an intricate and tedious task. It requires advanced knowledge of the vehicle’s inner workings and proper steps necessary to reassemble all parts to factory specifications. Our I-Car Platinum Pro Level 3 mechanical certified technicians have advanced capabilities to tackle any job because they are trained in all areas of vehicle assembly and diagnostics.
Detail
Every vehicle gets a complete detail and sanitization after repair completion at Royal Auto Body. With growing concerns of pandemics and infectious disease on the rise, such as COVID-19, we want our customers to be at ease knowing their vehicle will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized upon pick up.
INSURANCE:
We work directly with all major insurance companies to ensure a thorough examination. Our team of certified estimators work hand in hand with insurance adjusters and present them with a complete blueprinted repair plan outlining all vehicle damages caused by the collision. Our skilled team members will guide you through the claim filing process and provide periodic repair status updates through the duration of the repair. The Royal Auto Body team understands that being involved in an accident is a stressful and scary event, which is why our goal is to make the repair process seamless and stress-free for our customers.
Specialty Repairs
Our technicians at Royal Auto Body are highly trained and certified to handle and perform proper repairs on all specialty materials that modern-day vehicles include. Advanced knowledge of material identification and procedure is required when working with all different types of metals and plastic components. In modern vehicle design, many different specialty materials and substrates are used to construct the vehicles and engineered to comply with stringent vehicle safety regulations. These materials include steel, advanced high strength steel (AHSS), ultra-high-strength steel (UHSS), stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and magnesium. Many different plastics and substrates are also utilized throughout the vehicle, including Polypropylene (PP), Polyurethane (PUR), Poly-Vinyl-Chloride (PVC), ABS, Polyethylene (PE), Polycarbonate (PC), fiberglass, carbon fiber, and forged carbon fiber.
